‘Eyes Have Brightened’ installation & ‘Prisms’ soundtrack

Eyes Have Brightened

‘Eyes Have Brightened’ is a new sound/light installation by Eaters at Knockdown Center in Queens, NY. Building on the visual and sonic vocabulary of their unique live music performances, the show features sound and light sculptures and immersive installation elements by Christopher Duffy. This will be the New York premiere of their performative sound sculpture ‘Moment of Inertia’, and will feature a new soundtrack for the installation composed by Bob Jones and Jonathan Schenke.

The opening is Saturday December 10, 2016 at 8 PM (as part of the Parquet Courts event that night), with additional gallery hours on:

– Sunday, December 11 (2-8 PM)
– Thursday, December 15 (5-9 PM)
– Friday, December 16 (5-9 PM)
– Saturday, December 17 (2-8 PM)
– Sunday, December 18 (2-8 PM)

’Moment of Inertia’ will be performed Sunday 12/11, Saturday 12/17, and Sunday 12/18 at 2, 4, and 6 PM.

AdHoc and Brooklyn Vegan both featured the event, and streamed the accompanying soundtrack ‘Prisms’.  This collection of improvised, beat-less instrumental music was produced by Bob Jones and Jonathan Schenke in November 2016.  ‘Prisms’ is streaming below and available for purchase on Bandcamp.
